Load in at 3pm on Saturday 12/5/2020 Power will be available, please bring extension cords if you have them. Floats will remain lit from Saturday – Monday morning to be viewed by the public. Floats will remain there until Monday. Load out on Monday 12/7/2020 by 3pm.

ABOUT US

The Lights Fantastic Parade was started by a grass roots committee who wanted to bring an annual holiday parade event to Carbondale, Illinois. The first Parade was held in 1990 and has been a holiday staple of the community for nearly three decades. The parade is run by a volunteer committee of community members. The parade is held annually at 6:00pm on the first Saturday of December (snow or shine!) and is always a good time for families. Be sure to join in on our various parade day activities in the downtown! The parade is a not-for-profit organization and depends on generous donations from community members. The parade is open to all entries (so long as you have lots of lights!) and if you are interested in submitting an entry in the parade please visit the Registration page. We hope to see you there!
