Holiday Craft Sale

The Lights Fantastic Parade was started by a grass roots committee who wanted to bring an annual holiday parade event to Carbondale, Illinois. The first Parade was held in 1990 and has been a holiday staple of the community for nearly three decades. The parade is run by a volunteer committee of community members. The parade is held annually at 6:00pm on the first Saturday of December (snow or shine!) and is always a good time for families. Be sure to join in on our various parade day activities in the downtown! The parade is a not-for-profit organization and depends on generous donations from community members.
